November 15, 1577    

 

I am tired of my boss, Sir. Francis Drake. I can’t believe he is going to make us navigate today, with the weather so bad. I realy did not want to sail, but I have to bring money for my moma. We came out from Plymouth we are navigating to Spain, that’s bad, he had always had revenge with the spanish, always when we get close to the spanish there's a war. I feel like a pirate.    

 

November 20, 1577

    

I really don't know what this pirate wants, he is crazy, he thinks we are going to go around the world, NO! we are going to fall half way around because the world is not round, but flat. many navegators also say that the world is rownd but they are crazy. Haha, this pirate is crazy. We are 164 men and one by on we will all die until the ship falls off the world. We are just passing Mogador, that is in the coast of Africa. Luckily we did not stop at Spain and we did not see any spanish ship.

                                          

January 1, 1578

 

Happy new year’s! We actually can’t celebrate it because Sir. Drake is very mean. This is a very tired job and I may die now or when we fall of thee world. Today we are fishing to eat and I feel very sick because of the sea. It is very difficult to fish because you cast and then you get a fish then when you reel in it always falls and there's no “let’s stop for the fish.”

 

March 1, 1578

I think the food is very bad but when there's fish it is better but almost all fish is for my boss. Usually we get potatoes, carrots, onions, etc. If we are lucky enough and my boss leaves any fish left over, then we get to have a little piece. I dont write often because i'm to busy working that i dont see anything. But somwtimes we get to see dolphins, sharks or whales. I am afrayd of the legent of the sea monsters or maybe tot comeing alive to se my family agen.

                                        

January 1, 1579

    

We already passed Rio de la Plata, Bahia de los Nodales, Estrecho de Magallanes, Cape Horn, Valparaíso, Arica, Lima, Guayaquil, Huatulco, Oregon Dunes, C. Mendocino,  and we are right now passing the Pacific ocean. I have not written in a year because there's nothing to see only wails. But one thing I can tell you is that I am very scared of falling or something.

 

November 20, 1580

    We are just getting to Plymouth to end our journey, we passed Palau, Mindanao, Molucas, Moluccas, Timor, Cabo de la Buena Esperanza, Sierra Leona and we just got to where we set saile, Plymouth. this was a very good experience and I would want to repeat this trip. I learned that the world is rownd. I think that I am a hero by navegayting arownd the world.
